Granite surface plate applied to a variety maintenance work, such as precision measurement; all kinds of machine tools measure; check the dimensional accuracy of parts, and make precise drawing. It and cast iron surface plate are indispensable products in the machine tools, machinery manufacturing, electronics industry.

Granite surface plate measuring errors can be divided into three kinds according to their different nature.

First is granite platform random error, under repeatability conditions, the error is the difference value between the average value of same infinite number of measurements and measurement results. Random error equals measurement error minus systematic error. Because measurements only can be a limited number, it is possible to determine an estimate of random error.

The second is granite platform system error, under repeatability conditions, the value is between the average value of same infinite number of measurements and measured true value.

The third is granite platform gross error, the value is the error of significantly distort the measurement results.
