Cast Iron T-slot Square Blocks are made of high tensile cast iron properly seasoned against distortion. They are used as a versatile tool for layout machine set – ups, tooling and inspection of large jobs. They can also be used as right angles and squares. They are made and used either in single or in combination for comprehensive applications. The T-slots on vertical face and top face provided along and / or across the length, as per required. They are manufactured meet or exceed the requirements set forth by various National and International Standards.
OEM or ODM service: we offer a wide range of services from standard Cast Iron Square Boxes/Blocks to customized and specifically designed as per loading requirement.
Calibration Certificate: EX-works inspection reports offered by our Quality Inspection Department are included with every surface plate, “Calibration Certificate” is available upon request for an additional charge.
Delivery Costs: calculated during the checkout process.
Cast Iron T-slot Square Block is mainly used for testing and marking the parallel and vertical degree of each part. A square box is a cavity cube with six working surfaces made of cast iron or steel, and one of the working faces has a V-slot.
For square boxes with a side length of 315 mm and below, place 1 mm gauge blocks at each side of the tested surface of the square box, and place a knife block lip ruler on the working surface. Then test the plug with gauge blocks at each tested point.
The difference between the size of the gauge block group that just plugs the gap and the gauge blocks on both sides is regarded as the deviation of the tested point and both sides.
This test should be carried out at several sections of the square box working surface in vertical, horizontal, and diagonal directions.
When the measured errors at various locations in the same direction are the same, this value is regarded as the maximum value. When the error direction is inconsistent, the absolute value of the maximum positive and negative difference is taken as the flatness of the inspected surface.
